What is Intentional Living
I keep asking myself, what is intentional living?
Not the fluffy stuff that some online coach is going to sell you. (been there. done that.) But what is it really?

There are these two avenues that everyone tries to get you to choose from:
To have vision for the future and intentional purpose, goal, manifestation.
To live in the moment, present, with gratitude, not expecting or desiring more than what you currently have.
I could totally start a tangent here about the psychology of marketing, specifically about how you are always being sold to when told you have to choose a side. Us vs them and so on... but I digress.
But you see, for me, there has always been this sense of "it's both"
when people in the church squabble over evangelism or discipleship
when psychology says it's nature or nurture
when a person says you need clear vision and goals or you need to be content and grateful where you are
Always, it's been both.
What started out as pressure to discover what the Word says and make a choice between the two, one or the other, ended up being yet another realization of both. Of living in the tension between the two.
Not perfectly balanced either. Have I told you about the tight rope?
I am open.
I remain open.
I am aware that at anytime, in any moment, I may be experiencing life a little closer to one side of the tension pull than the other. And none of it is bad. It is all life, and life lived with God.
Always mindful. Always thankful. And sometimes, looking ahead.
And this, is intentional living.
