Mama, I know that it feels like you never have enough time. There's always something else that needs to be done and not enough time to do it in. & I'm sure it's been a while since you've had any alone time to yourself.
Let me be the one to tell you: Time Is Not Your Enemy! You have just as many hours in a day as everyone else. They're not doing more because they have more hours than you. You're not meeting your expectations for yourself because you have less hours than others.
So, how do you overcome this overwhelm?
1. Upgrade your thinking.
The issue isn't the amount of hours in a day. It's most likely your task management. You can't manage the time, but you can manage your tasks. Do you know what you're doing with your days?
2. Get intentional.
What is your mindset about the tasks? What type of mental space are they taking up? Are you grumbling and complaining? Or are you doing it with thanksgiving and praise?
3. Set time blocks.
What time frame are your allowing for yourself to do those things? Do you say, "oh I've got time to do this today"? Or do you set a timer and get as much done in that time frame as you can?
4. Create the space for success.
Whatever task it is you're trying to accomplish, make sure that you're set up for the best results. What do you need to accomplish the task? Where will you do it? Put those things in place ahead of time!
5. Sandwich the kids.
If you're a mama who has little people who need you, then it is important to sandwich your tasks with them! Give them 3 - 5 minutes of pure you time! Then set them up with something that they can do without you for your 25 minute time block.
